About Us
The 460-year-old building served as a granary for centuries and was converted into a luxurious holiday home in 2024. The combination of reclaimed wood and fresh stone pine wood makes the holiday home cozy and romantic. On the huge terrace, you can unwind and enjoy the view. The electricity for the house is self-generated, and heating is provided by wood and electricity.
We, the Huber family, run the Bertlhof in Saureggen at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. A mountain farm specializing in dairy farming, direct marketing, gin production, and rentals. We are happy to offer our guests insights into agriculture.
The mountain farming village of Saureggen lies high above the valley, and the view is incredible. The well-known peaks of Speikkofel, Kaiserburg, and Falkert are directly visible. The Turracherhöhe ski area is just a few minutes' drive away. Hiking trails lead directly from the farm to the surrounding peaks.

The Turracherhöhe ski area is just a few minutes' drive away, while the Hochrindl, Falkert, and Bad Kleinkirchheim ski areas are only 20 minutes away. Hiking trails lead directly from the farm to the surrounding mountains, and snowshoeing is the perfect balance to stressful everyday life. If snow conditions permit, you can also access a cross-country ski trail directly, and sledding on the surrounding fields is the absolute highlight for the kids!
