Our family-friendly mountain holiday home, Truskaller, is located on the Maltaberg at an altitude of approximately 1500 meters.
It offers: a kitchen with a wood stove and two gas-powered hotplates (dishes are provided), a living room with a tiled stove and a pull-out couch, a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with bunk beds (bedding is provided), a shower (hot water provided by a gas heater), a toilet, a gas-powered refrigerator, solar lighting, two power outlets, and a covered terrace at the entrance.
The property is very large and fenced. Wood is available in the woodshed, and there is also a fenced parking area and a barbecue area, as well as several seating options next to the cottage (wooden table with benches, sun lounger, wooden bench).
Near the cottage (approximately 5-10 minutes' walk away) are two serviced mountain inns (Kramerhütte and Leonhardhütte), where you will be pampered. Additionally, there are numerous hiking opportunities (e.g., Stubeck, Reitereck, Loibsspitze).

Farm products and catering
Farm products can be purchased at the nearby Wegscheiderhof (Maltaberg 12).
The range includes natural and various fruit yogurts, curd balls, various spreads, butter, cheese, drinking yogurt, curd, and much more.

Mountain cabin "Truskaller"
1 - 4 People
The kitchen is equipped with a wood stove and two gas-powered cooking plates. You’ll find all necessary cookware, cutlery, and cleaning supplies. Firewood for the stove is available in the nearby woodshed.
Additionally, the spacious dining/living room features a cozy tiled stove and a pull-out couch, perfect for relaxing evenings by the fire.
The cabin offers two separate bedrooms: a large bedroom with a double bed (a foldable bed is also available if needed) and a smaller room with a bunk bed. Bed linens and towels are provided.
The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and a gas-powered heater. Toilet paper is supplied for the first few days.
A pantry provides space for storing food and includes a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. For extra cooling, there is an underground storage shaft. Cleaning supplies and a broom are also available.
In 2021, the cabin was upgraded with new solar-powered lighting. Each room is equipped with lights, and the dining/living room has two power outlets, ideal for charging phones or laptops. A small radio is also available.
The entrance area features a covered terrace with a small table and seating.
The property is large and fenced in. It includes a private parking area, a barbecue spot, and various outdoor seating options (a wooden table with benches, a sun lounger, and a wooden bench).

Arrival
Directions for Arrival:
Take exit Gmünd from the A10 motorway. At the first roundabout, take the second exit towards Malta, and at the second roundabout, again take the second exit towards Malta. Proceed for approximately 5 km on the federal road towards Malta. After passing the sign indicating the town of Malta, you will find a gas station on the right side. Continue past the gas station and take the second right turn. You will then arrive at our location at Malta No. 7. Check-in will take place here, and we will then accompany you to the cottage and show you around. The drive to the cottage takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
