About Us

The alpine chalet is situated at 1,150 metres above sea level in Diex, surrounded by meadows and forests with a fantastic view of the Jaun Valley and the Steiner Alps. Numerous hiking trails invite you to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Diex. 

Open your eyes in the morning, breathe in the fresh mountain air, watch the sunrise, and marvel at the surrounding nature. This is how your holiday can begin. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast, reading an exciting book, or letting your mind wander to the gentle splashing of the fountain. This is all about enjoyment and happiness.

By consciously selecting local materials such as reclaimed wood, clay, hemp, and natural stone, we have brought nature indoors. The spacious amenities of our alpine hut offer plenty of room to feel at ease across two floors.

Mountain Chalet Almchalet Schuster

The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Each is equipped with a double bed. Swiss stone pine and oak wood, as well as clay plaster and hemp insulation, ensure a restful and healthy indoor climate. The balcony invites you to take a deep breath of fresh air.

The cozy living room with a wood-burning stove on the ground floor invites you to relax on the couch. Also on the ground floor is the fully equipped solid wood kitchen with a dining table, the entrance area with a wardrobe, WC, shower, and washing machine, as well as the ground-level terrace.

Arrival

Take the Völkermarkt Ost exit on the A2 and follow the state road towards Haimburg. In the village of Haimburg, turn left onto Haimburger Landesstraße. After 1.8 km, turn right onto Diexer Landesstraße. After 3.3 km, turn slightly right onto Haimburgerberg. After 4.1 km, turn sharp right to stay on Haimburgerberg; after 950 m, the destination will be on the right.
