Our estate is idylliscally situated in the countryside and offers a unique natural stage. Just a short distance behind the house, a refreshing Kneipp stream flows. A pool, sunbathing lawns, loungers, a trampoline, a sandbox, and a swing ensure relaxation and family fun. The peaceful surroundings invite you to linger, and everyone is sure to find their favorite spot. Hiking trails start right on our doorstep. Indoor sauna!
About Us
The most gorgeous natural scenery of Grünau, part of the network of Mountaineering Villages
, is the backdrop of our farm Sportlerhof - an oasis of well-being, inner peace and forest bathing. Welcome to the perfect holiday destination for sports and nature enthusiasts. Our newly renovated farm is set at 528 m above sea level on the edge of the village, right next to a picturesque mountain stream. We’ve followed the principles of building biology as a guideline. Look forward to a prime ambience of relaxation!
Culinary delights by the Alm river - “Waldness” forest bathing - locally sourced products - beautiful nature zoo park!
Enjoy our countless hiking trails that start right at the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing tours. Those who’d like to take it easy can spend their holiday on the lawn for sunbathing, in the swimming pool, in the sauna, playing table tennis, wading through the cold mountain stream, having a barbecue or on the playground.
For stays of 3+ nights, the guest card “Salzkammergut Card” is included!
“WALDNESS” - forest bathing is a cure!
The idyllic Almtal valley (Salzkammergut region) offers a very special break from everyday life: “Waldness” (a coined term composed of the German word for “forest” and “wellness”). Immerse yourself in the cleansing depths of the forest. Be fully present in the moment, take in the scents and enjoy. Feel the soothing effect of trees and plants in the forest. Understand the deep connection between humans and nature.
Forest bathing is a silent retreat, relaxation and energising surrounded by majestic trees, turquoise rivers and lakes, high mountains and fragrant meadows. It’s a chance to find and live your individual, healthy rhythm.
Packages can be booked at the local tourist office (please inform us upon booking)!
Our holiday apartments Spitzplaneck and Gamsenberg come with two separate bedrooms each, a kitchen-living room, shower with WC and a new balcony with glass roof. They are located on the first floor, face the south and invite you to unwind in a cosy setting.

About Us
Our farm Sportlerhof is set at the foot of the family-friendly ski resort “Kasberg”. Snow all around in the Mountaineering Village Grünau im Almtal at 528 m above sea level. The ski resort “Kasberg” is only 2.5 km from our farm and boasts 23 km of perfectly groomed pistes for Alpine skiers and snowboarders. Ski touring, snowshoeing, relaxation in nature - our local ski resort is a gorgeous natural scenery for all kinds of outdoor activities. Free shuttle service to the cable car. Affordable tickets! Ski arena for kids, “BRUNO Kasbär” - our young guests’ friend, ski school and rental service in the valley. Separate trail for ski tourers. More information on www.kasberg.at (in German)
Enjoy the breathtaking winter scenery, the local culinary delights, stroll along the Alm river and take tasty snack breaks, visit the popular nature zoo park in winter - it will make children’s eyes sparkle with joy. How about a loop walk around Lake Almsee or building a snowmen in front of the house?

On our farm, you can spend a relaxing day in the lovely furnished family rooms, in the sauna or playing table tennis. We are happy to book horse riding lessons, rides in a horse-drawn carriage or backpack-toboggan tours (“Ruck-X-Bob”) for you!
The meadows surrounding our house belong to our farm and are the best place to build snowmen, start epic snowball fights, trudge through the snow drawing characters with your footsteps or invent other creative games. Plenty of space to simply be!
