At the Alfaier-Bergheimat, we offer a vacation you won't forget, featuring individually designed rooms, delicious homemade products from our own farm, a traditional Tyrolean ambiance with a cozy bar, and a modern wellness area with a rock grotto, herbal steam bath, and a room of the senses.
If you prefer something more rustic, we offer you and your loved ones quaintly furnished holiday apartments in the Alfaierhof farmhouse, whose roots trace back through 700 years of tradition.
In summer, numerous hiking and excursion opportunities await you around the Alfaierhof & Bergheimat amidst the Tyrolean mountains. Whether it's leisurely mountain pasture hikes, impressive summit tours, or diverse summer activities in the surrounding area, every nature lover will get their money's worth here.
For even more flexibility, you can also rent e-bikes from us and easily explore the beautiful landscape on two wheels. Recently, we have also started offering motorhome pitches in a quiet location surrounded by nature.
Oh, by the way! Elves and mystical creatures, who have inhabited the Gschnitz Valley since time immemorial, have left their mark here and ensure a pleasant and protected sleep in our Suite of King Elbengast, the Morgentau and Bergkristall apartments, as well as the Goldkappl, Tarnkappl, Kasermandl, or Huetermadl rooms.

If you prefer a more rustic experience, we offer you and your loved ones quaintly furnished holiday apartments in the Alfaierhof farmhouse, whose roots trace back to a 700-year-old tradition.
In winter, our snow-sure location delights with numerous opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing. The free ski bus to the Bergeralm stops right in front of the door, and the cross-country ski trail also starts directly at the house. You can easily book your ski pass along with your stay. In addition, skis, cross-country skis, and toboggans are available for hire in our in-house rental. Upon request, we also organize atmospheric torchlight hikes through the snowy winter landscape for our guests. With a little luck, you can also observe local wildlife from a very special perspective.
Oh, by the way! With us, elves and mystical creatures that have always inhabited the Gschnitz Valley have left their mark, ensuring a pleasant and sheltered sleep in our Suite König Elbengast, in the apartments Morgentau and Bergkristall, as well as in the rooms Goldkappl, Tarnkappl, Kasermandl, or Huetermadl.

Enjoy our breakfast buffet featuring homemade products from our organic farm! Fresh, high-quality whole milk, butter made from it, Topfen (quark), or even our unique homemade terrine will delight you alongside sausages, bacon, ham, eggs, and more! Typical Tyrolean dishes and home-style cooking, prepared by our mother with great love and skill, can be savored as part of our half-board! Whether it's Kaiserschmarrn, Wiener Schnitzel, Bauernschmaus, etc., or the hearty, flavorful soups, you will be delighted!
Farm Products:
Upon request, we offer our guests various organic products from our own production and from regional partner businesses. From hearty bacon to various fruit brandies and liqueurs, quality, regionality, and genuine enjoyment are at the heart of what we offer.
Happy, satisfied cows, curious and frisky calves, leisurely grunting piglets and cuddly kittens all live on our farm and are always looking to make new friends!
Get to know our trusted animals during a joint tour of the barn, watch them getting milked, and stroke the calves' silky coat. Have you ever had milk that has just been milked, straight from the cow? If not, here's your chance to have a sip!
Sustainability and regionality are central to what the Alfaierhof has to offer. By using produce grown on the farm and locally sourced ingredients, managing natural resources responsibly, and caring for the surrounding mountain landscape, the farm makes a significant contribution to the preservation of the Alpine cultural landscape. In particular, the mountain hay harvested on-site comes from species-rich mountain meadows at 1,800 to 2,000 metres above sea level and is harvested gently using traditional methods. This preserves valuable habitats and promotes biodiversity.
The wellness area complements this sustainable concept and offers guests a place of peace, relaxation and rejuvenation. The focus is on the traditional mountain hay bath using the farm’s own mountain hay, whose natural ingredients – such as herbs, grasses and flowers – aid relaxation and promote well-being. Furthermore, the entire wellness area invites you to escape the daily grind and recharge your batteries.

Steinach train station: Direct connecting trains via Munich, Salzburg, Verona and Zurich; in addition, there are also hourly regional trains between Innsbruck and Brenner, and a direct bus connection to Trins and Gschnitz
