“We would love to make EVERYTHING ourselves!” Inspired by this passion, a wide variety of organic, passionately crafted foods have been produced here on our mountain farm for 20 years: all kinds of yogurts and cheeses made from cow's, sheep's, and goat's milk, vegan spreads, bread, produce from our own large kitchen garden, as well as meat products and eggs from our organic chickens – sustainable and made with lots of love.
“Spaces leave a lasting impression on us!” With this realization in mind, we built this house. Sustainable holiday apartments made of untreated wood, ancient beams, natural stone, clay, lime, and natural textiles, which, in harmony with the mountain views, wish to tell their story, quietly invite you to experience something here that will leave its mark on you.
Ecological holiday apartments on an organic mountain farm in Carinthia
Our holiday home is located on a lively organic mountain farm in a sunny, secluded location at almost 1000m above sea level, where:
live free-range on the pastures.
Together with the milk from four other farmers, we produce organic dairy products, bake fresh bread, refine meat from our free-range pigs, lambs, and cattle, and process herbs from our cottage garden into teas and herbal salts. Depending on the season, our guests are also welcome to enjoy these delicacies with us.
Above the farm, it is not far to the Simonhöhe skiing, hiking, and mountain biking area, while below lies the village of St. Urban with its beautiful natural lido at Lake Urban (Urbansee).

The holiday home is more than just accommodation – it is an experience for the senses.
Even as you enter, a subtle scent of wood hangs in the air, revealing the care and love with which this place was crafted.
Everything is simple, clear, and made of genuine natural materials: wood, stone, lime, clay, and natural textiles. Old beams with a history, furniture made of weathered larch, and warm, wood-heated window seats create an atmosphere of peace and security.
Everything is reduced to the essentials, allowing the materials themselves to showcase their beauty.

Enjoyment and regionality play a very special role here at our farm. During their stay, our guests can taste their way through a large selection of homemade organic farm products and experience genuine quality directly from the farm.

All animals live in species-appropriate conditions with plenty of space to roam and have access to the pastures 365 days a year. Depending on the season, there are also young animals to discover, or you can watch farm life take its natural course.
Whether during a leisurely stroll around the farm, looking out over the pastures, or taking a daily peek into the stable – our animals are simply a key part of the holiday experience. For many guests, these small encounters are the most beautiful moments of their stay.
Children in particular naturally look forward to getting to know the animals up close and discovering life on a real organic mountain farm.
Animal welfare is our top priority. Our animals are kept with great care and respect, receive regular veterinary care, and spend as much time as possible on the pasture. Species-appropriate husbandry is the foundation of healthy animals and high-quality food for us.

Via an external staircase made of larch wood, you enter the upper-floor apartment through an entrance door made of centuries-old oak, which tells its own story.

The balcony, the wooden “outdoor room”, is almost like a bird's nest. From there, the view stretches over the stable, forest, and hills all the way to the distant mountains of Slovenia, Italy, and Carinthia.

Parking is located directly in front of the house
Arrival by public transport directly to the farm is not possible. The nearest train station is in Feldkirchen in Kärnten. At certain times of the day, there is a bus to St. Urban/Dorfplatz. From there, it is still about 5 km to the farm. By prior arrangement, we can organize a shuttle for an additional charge. Please get in touch with us for this. Otherwise, please take a taxi.

Our farm is easily accessible from all over Austria:
From the East / Vienna & Lower Austria:
Take the Southern Motorway (A2) towards Carinthia and exit at Klagenfurt/Feldkirchen. Continue towards Feldkirchen and from there to St. Urban.
From the North / Upper Austria & Salzburg:
Take the Tauern Motorway (A10) towards Villach. Take the Villach/Ossiacher See exit, continue to Feldkirchen and then towards St. Urban.
From the West / Tyrol & Vorarlberg:
Take the Inntal Motorway (A12) towards Salzburg and continue on the A10 towards Villach. Then head towards Feldkirchen and continue to St. Urban.
From the South / Italy & Slovenia:
Via the Karawanken Tunnel or via Tarvisio to Villach. From there, head towards Feldkirchen and continue to St. Urban.
