Located at altitudes of up to 2,400m, the family-friendly ski resorts “Katschberg”, “Fanningberg”, “Grosseck-Speiereck” and “Obertauern” focus on quality instead of quantity and have a reliable snow cover. You only need one ticket, the “LUNGO” ski pass, to access 300 kilometres of pistes from Katschberg to Obertauern in Salzburg.

Once a year, in autumn, people in the Lungau region follow a culinary tradition called “Schafaufbratln”. The traditional mutton roast is served in a large frying pan with potatoes, horseradish and lingonberries. Several restaurants and taverns celebrate this culinary event with live music.
