Leitnhütte

Welcome to the Leitnhütte on the Genneralm!

Our self-catered hut awaits you at 1320 m above sea level, surrounded by the beautiful mountain world of the Osterhorn Group.

Using a well-maintained gravel lane, you will easily be able to reach the hut with your own car from the car park in Lämmerbach, which is 4 km away.

The Leitnhütte features the following:

• a big, comfortable and fully equipped kitchen with gas-fired range and refrigerator  
• 3 double rooms on the upper floor, one of which is a room with balcony and beautiful views of the surrounding mountain world (incl. a travel crib)
• one dormitory-style room for up to 8 people on the upper floor
• one large bathroom with warm-water shower (gas furnace)
• one WC
• one cellar where you can chill your drinks
• one big outdoor area with seating, loungers, gas grill etc.
• the hut is equipped with a photovoltaic system

Our mountain hut accommodates 4 to 14 people and is rented out from May to October – depending on the weather conditions!

Families with children are more than welcome here with us! There is plenty of space here to play, run and release all of that excess youthful energy.

The Leitnhütte is a very good base for family hikes, mountain biking and ideal for being lazy, relaxing and unwinding completely.

If you don’t want to spend your entire holiday right there at the hut, there are many excursion destinations, including the beautiful swimming lakes of the Salzkammergut region, within easy driving distance.

Be sure to bring your own towels, sleeping bags for the dorm and possibly flashlights.
