Holidays at the Spitzenhof-farm means vacation, a rich breakfast with local products and being warmly welcomed by your hosts. You can look forward to a relaxing vacation with the whole family in the Gesäuse national park - a power spot in the green heart of Austria.
Our farm is absolutely family friendly and we have cows, cats, a dog, chickens and rabbits. The farm is run by the family Hollinger: Alexander, Erika and their two kids Alexander and Katharina.
Let the idyllic location of Spitzenhof, which is surrounded by forests, meadows and a little creek, help you with regaining energy. Holidays at the farm means for a lot of people slowing down for a few days. Vacation at a place where the world is still in order. Get yourself your fair share of nature and use your precious time for recreation and regaining energy.
Our offers:
We offer our guests two holiday apartments, “Esche” and “Lärche”. “Esche” provides room for 4 people and is furnished with ash wood. “Lärche” offers room for up to 6 people and is furnished with larch wood.
We are happy to provide you with delicious breakfast. Start your day with home-made bread, self-made marmalades and various other products from our region. On request, we are happy to fill up your fridge with local products in order to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
The refurbished farmhouse used to be inhabited by farmers and their farm servants. We tried our best to combine the old charm of the farmhouse with the comfort of today’s standards. Only high quality materials were used. The timber comes from our own woods and allergy sufferer friendly lime plaster was used for the walls.
You will be spending your holidays at a place that gives peacefulness, as well as energy.

We are happy to provide you with local breakfast specialities that will give you enough strength to explore the national park. Start your day with a delicious breakfast, containing fresh bread and other home-made products from our region. On request, the fridge in your holiday apartment will be filled with the specialities listed above.
The focus at our farm is on dairy products and ox fattening. The younger cows spend the summer months on our two pastures. Both can be reached by foot from our farm. “Grasbergalm”, the higher located pasture, lies at an elevation of 1600m above sea level. Moreover, underneath the green pasture lies the Schreier-spring, which is one of the main water sources for Vienna.
If you stick to our barn rules, you are very welcome to help with the daily work.
Furthermore, our dog Freya, the two rabbits Marina and Martina and our cat Felix are happy to be petted by you
