    About Us

Welcome to the Brandstättalm in Werfenweng!

Our small, rustic hut for self-catering holidaymakers was built new in 1992 and lies amid the mountains of the Tennengebirge at 1575 m above sea level, directly below the Tauernscharte. From mid-May until mid-October, our hut is the ideal base for beautiful hikes, for example along the Salzburger Almenweg, to the Eiskogel, and for a traverse of the Tennengebirge.

However, even if you are in search of pure rest and relaxation, we will be just what you are looking for. Far removed from the daily routine, you can unwind on our big sunny terrace and enjoy the enchanting mountain panorama.

On two floors, our Brandstättalm accommodates as many as 8 people. Awaiting you on the ground floor is a cozy living room with television, spacious dinette and wood-burning stove, which can also be used for cooking. As for the spacious kitchen, it is also equipped with a wood stove, along with an electric range, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffeemaker and a small sitting area. A beautiful wooden staircase leads up to the two bedrooms on the top floor: one double room and one room for up to 6 people.

If you wish, you can drive right up to the hut by means of a 6 km long forestry road. We are also happy to organize shuttle service for an additional charge.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Brandstättalm in Werfenweng!
