Welcome to the Zamsegg farm for children and babies!


Our farm is located on a sunny ridge, with wonderful views of the Tote Gebirge. At the Zamsegg farm you will experience a holiday in idyllic countryside. Along with cows and calves, sheep and lambs, children can also befriend rabbits, guinea pigs, Cecil the goat and purring cats. Our farm is a great starting point for lots of walking and hiking paths. Active families can enjoy hiking on the nearby alpine slopes while looking out for young cows and flocks of sheep; wildlife tracking is also possible!

We offer our guests: Barbecue evening, bonfire, a playground, table tennis, tennis hall discount, basketball, use of kitchen and homemade products like schnapps, sheepskin, small handicrafts,...

Tiere vieler Art sind zu erleben

Bei uns am Hof kann man Tiere aller Art sehen. Neben Kühen, Schafen und Ziegen, sind Hühner, Enten, Wachteln und Gänse zu beobachten.
Auch zum Streicheln sind Katzen, Hasen und Meerschweinchen hier. Rudi unser Esel liebt es ebenfalls, wenn er Streicheleinheiten bekommt.
Auf alle Tiere am Hof passt unser Hund Gringo auf.

Stories

Unser Hof wurde 1492 das erste Mal unter „Zannd am Egk“ urkundlich erwähnt. Seit mehr als 300 Jahren ist der Besitz in der Familie geblieben und daher wurde unser Hof zum Erbhof ernannt. Im Jahr 1737 übernahm Simon Antensteiner den Hof von Elisabeth und Andree Antensteiner. Seither wurde der Hof immer an einen der Söhne weiter gegeben.

Im Jahr 1947 kamen die ersten Gäste auf unseren Hof. Es war damals ein Ehepaar aus Wien, das über den Sommer blieb, damit der Mann sich von seiner Kriegsgefangenschaft erholen konnte. Vier Jahre darauf, 1951 wurde der erste Stock mit Bad und WC am Gang ausgebaut.

Die Mansarde wurde 1964 ausgebaut, hier wurden Zimmer mit Waschbecken errichtet. Ein Gemeinschaftsbad und WC konnte man vom Gang aus nutzen. Mit dem Umbau bekam das Haus auch eine Zentralheizung.

In unserer Region wurde im Jahr 1975 „Urlaub am Bauernhof“ gegründet, meine Schwiegereltern Margarete und Hubert traten dieser Vereinigung bei.

Nach der Hofübergabe im Jahr 2004 modernisierten wir die Räumlichkeiten, so bekamen unsere Gäste neu renovierte Zimmer, mit Badezimmer. Seither dürfen wir uns über die Auszeichnung „Vier Blumen“ von Urlaub am Bauernhof freuen. Zusätzlich spezialisierten wir uns zu dieser Zeit als Baby- und Kinderbauernhof.

Derzeit arbeiten Hubert und ich, gemeinsam mit unserem ältesten Sohn Herwig, am Hof. Neben Milchwirtschaft, Schafzucht und Almwirtschaft, ist die Forstwirtschaft für uns ein wichtiger Betriebszweig. Urlaub am Bauernhof bringt zur landwirtschaftlichen Arbeit Abwechslung und bereitet viel Freude.

Directions

Directions from A9:

A9 until exit Hinterstoder, St. Pankraz. Then turn left on to the B138 and follow the road downhill. At the bottom is a turn-off to the left in the direction of Hinterstoder (to the right of this junction is Gasthaus Steyrbrücke). Before Hinterstoder you will see a petrol station on the left, after which there is a turn-off to the left in the direction of Vorderstoder. Drive approx. 4.5 km on this road. After a concrete wall and a forest there is an entrance on the left-hand side (you will see a sign for Zamsegg). From there drive 0.4 km and turn right at sign, after which drive another approx. 0.4 km, until you see the Zamsegg farm.

Drive from Kirchdorf an der Krems

Take the 138 until the turn-off in Steyrbrücke and drive in the direction of Hinterstoder. Before Hinterstoder you will see a petrol station on the left, after which there is a turn-off to the left in the direction of Vorderstoder. Drive approx. 4.5 km on this road. After a concrete wall and a forest there is an entrance on the left-hand side (you will see a sign for Zamsegg). From there drive 0.4 km and turn right at sign, after which drive another approx. 0.4 km, until you see the Zamsegg farm.

Route from Graz, Windischgarsten:

Leave motorway at Windischgarsten, take another left in the direction of Rossleithen. In the locality there is a right turn to Vorderstoder (sign posted). Travel along this road until you reach Vorderstoder. Drive through Vorderstoder, driving downhill until you reach a bridge and some houses. After which comes a forest, take the first right uphill (you will see the sign for Zansegg). Then drive approx. 0.4 km until the next crossroads where you will turn right. Another approx. 0.4 km and you will reach Zamsegg farm.
