About Us
Welcome to the Dürsteinhof in Uttendorf!
The historic farmhouse at the Dürsteinhof enjoys a quiet and sunny stand-alone location, treating you to beautiful views of the surrounding mountain world inside Hohe Tauern National Park.
One part of this lovingly appointed farmhouse can be rented on a self-catering basis. You can look forward to a big, fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable farmhouse parlor, a reading room, three double rooms, two single rooms and a children’s room, bathroom with bath and shower, along with a separate WC. The Dürsteinhof is heated by wood-burning and tile stoves. The house also features two balconies and a sunny terrace, plus parking right outside. Pets are also welcome by arrangement!
The Dürsteinhof is currently farmed on a tenant basis. In spring, autumn and winter, cows live in the open-pen cowshed which stands roughly 30 meters away.
Hohe Tauern National Park, with its beautiful mountain world, offers countless excursion opportunities both summer and winter. In summer, you can soak up the sunshine out on the terrace, all the while relishing the peace & quiet and mountain scenery. In winter, you can go sledding, build snowmen or have a snowball fight on the snowy meadows and hillsides around the farm. The ski areas of Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun, Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen – Mittersill, Weisssee Gletscherwelt etc. are within convenient driving distance. In winter, we recommend snow chains for cars that do not have all-wheel drive!
Your host Theresia has a real passion for collecting, not only mushrooms and wild herbs, but also fine furnishings and accessories. If you come to an agreement with her, you might well be able to purchase the occasional item as a wonderful souvenir of your holidays.
This historic farmhouse, with its iconic character, can also be booked as a location for film and photo shoots.
I personally look forward to welcoming you here at the Dürsteinhof!
Your host, Theresia Bacher!
